Der Warthog 40L ist ein vielseitiger Rucksack mit einem vollständigen alpinen Funktionsumfang, der um bis zu 100 g leichter gemacht werden kann.

In seiner neuen Version wurde er noch leichter und minimalistischer ausgelegt. Er ist ein robuster und kompromissloser Rucksack für ernsthafte und anspruchsvolle alpine Ziele. Basierend auf unserer neuen Rucksackarchitektur wird er in zwei Größen angeboten und zeichnet sich durch Passform und Tragekomfort aus. Unsere innovativen laminierten Hybrid-Schulterträger sind durch die Konstruktion von Klettergurten inspiriert, um ein Tragesystem zu schaffen, das flach anliegt und dennoch eine herausragende Lastenverteilung und hohen Komfort bietet. Karbonatbeschichtete Gewebe wirken abweisend gegen Schnee und Eis und verleihen dem Rucksack zusätzliche Strapazierfähigkeit für den intensiven Einsatz im Winter.

Bring back the old blue!

I recently made a purchase on the website, and between a few things I got the warthog 40. I decided to buy it since I have the older blue version and I love it, but I got that one S/M and it fits really small. So this time I got the M/L but I am honestly dissapointed and really not satisfied with this new version. What I loved about the blue one is that it's light but it's also burly and durable, this new one feels softer on the shoulder straps and on the back, which makes it really not confortable. Same with the waist straps, and its also missing the gear loop and the helmet web holder.

I really hope you saved some of the older ones so I would love to change it for the older blue one M/L if you still have any in stock, or return this one if you don't.

Great backpack! Lightweight, waterproof, durable. The chest and waist bindings are light, yet, work really well, and thus, made carrying this backpack comfortable.

First use in Tatra mountains

I took the warthog to the Tatra mountains in Poland for its first use. The adjustable side straps made it incredibly flexible when I wanted to be less bulky whilst on the slopes but also still fit all the group kit I needed when going up into the mountains. These plus all the attachment points made fixing crampons, ice axe, snow shoes and a rope all a very easy and comfortable thing to do.

One negative thing to note is that the ice axe holder at the base of the base is slightly too wide for 2/3 ice axes I tried to carry. I managed to do the old fashioned method but it’s worth changing if that is important to you.
